Kyle joined Cooper Carry in 2006, was made a Principal in 2019, and became the firm’s President & CEO in 2021.  He leads more than 300 employees in the Atlanta, Washington DC and New York offices.  Kyle served as the leader of the firm’s Urban Design and Planning Studio from 2017 to 2021. Kyle’s architecture background and 15 years of planning experience has led to his passion for quality urban design and place making.  He strives for an inclusive design process in which the best ideas rise to the top, public spaces are made meaningful, and people have a diversity of options in their community.

Kyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2006 and Georgia State University with a Master in Business Administration in 2013.  He is an Association of Certified Planners (AICP) Certified Professional, member of the American Planning Association (APA), Georgia Planning Association (GPA), and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP).  Kyle is a registered Architect and member of NCARB and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Kyle is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).  He serves on the ULI Atlanta Advisory Board and is a member of the ULI Travel Experience and Trends Council.  He is a graduate of the ULI Atlanta Center for Leadership Class of 2016 and served as Chair of that program from 2018-2019. Kyle also served as Chair of the ULI Atlanta Mentor Program in 2014 and 2015.

Kyle currently serves on the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia Board, which he chaired from 2014-2017, and has been a volunteer since 2006.  He lives in Decatur with his wife, Colleen, and their three children, Evelyn, Grant, and Fiona.
