Principal

Keith Simmel, AIA, who has been with Cooper Carry for over 16 years, specializes in hospitality project types. During his time at the firm, he has worked on numerous luxury hotels, resorts and conference centers, including the Chesapeake Conference Center in Chesapeake, Virginia; The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island, a 255-room hotel, spa and conference center that has garnered numerous awards and accolades, including a coveted 5-star award from Mobil for both the hotel and spa; and The Westin Alexandria & Jamieson Condominiums in Alexandria, Virginia, a 320-key hotel with 79 condominium units. Several of his current projects include a large mixed-use hotel and condominium project in the historic core of Charleston, South Carolina;� a 300-key hotel located on the mass transit line of Bethesda, Maryland; and the Ravallo Resort in Orlando, Florida. As Principal, he will continue to help lead the firm's hospitality specialty practice group, and is looking forward to the challenges of its continued growth.
