Rick joined Cooper Carry in 1981, and was named Associate Director in 2000. He is a key contributor for the Higher Education and Science + Technology Specialty Practice Groups.Rick has acted as project manager on numerous multi-million dollar projects including the $45 million WellStar College for Health and Human Services at Kennesaw State University and the $89 million Engineered BioSystems Building at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

One of Rick’s more recent works, the Architecture Design II Studio at Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, GA, received numerous awards including the 2011 Georgia American Institute of Architects President’s Award and the 2011 Brick Industry Association Gold Award.

Rick holds a master of architecture degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). He is a registered architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), the Georgia Association of Physical Plant Administration (GAPPA), and the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI).
