A civic experience, a reflection of character, a rich and layered environment. The design for this conference center incorporates a unique blend of architectural concepts and provides the citizens of Chesapeake with an exciting and flexible facility. Prefunction areas provide presentation and meeting space and serve as local galleries. Outdoor patios accommodate weddings and other intimate events and open architectural plazas between buildings invite spontaneous gatherings. The project encompasses 54,000 square foot of convention space within a suburban office park. The fragmented building volumes create a series of flexible spaces between the interior and exterior environments.
