Due to the continued growth of county departments and court systems, Bibb County is erecting a new judicial center to house all judicial offices, including Superior Court, Superior Court Clerk, State Court, Juvenile Court, Probate Court, Municipal Court, District Attorney, Public Defender, Indigent Defense and Court Security. The new center will occupy approximately 220,00 to 250,000 sf. At a minimum, building features will include courtrooms, jury deliberation rooms, jury assembly rooms, offices, waiting areas, holding cells and a security master control room. Other building aspects include digitally programmable HVAC systems, security alarm system, fire alarm, closed circuit TV monitors and sprinkler systems, interior and exterior signage and automatic door systems.
