Cooper Carry provided master planning, architecture, landscape architecture and environmental graphic design services for the new Jackson County Judicial Center. The Master Plan anticipates the growth of the county and services offered to its citizens, and the incorporation of the existing facilities on the adjacent County-owned property. The location of the new center provides a cohesive and coordinated facility that is easily accessible from all parts of Jackson County. The new courthouse houses five courtrooms, two of which will seat approximately 120 people; two smaller courtrooms will be able to seat 72-104 people. Additional elements include: a public atrium space, jury assembly room, several jury deliberation rooms and judges chambers, witness rooms, attorney conference room and holding cells.
