The General Services Administration solicited Design-Build Entities for the design and construction of a new 70,000 SF Administration Building at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC), located in Hampton, VA. Cooper Carry is the architect on the winning Whiting Turner design-build team.
This project is the first of what is expected to be a phased, 12-year Modernization program (referred to as NEW TOWN) involving up to six new buildings worth an estimated $200 M. The other projects that comprise NEW TOWN are the construction of a new conference center, the construction of new laboratories and the renovation of existing buildings.
