Auburn University, Forestry & Wildlife Sciences Building

Auburn, AL

This 110,000 square foot facility houses Auburn University’s School of Forestry and Wildlife Biology, one of the premier renewable natural resources schools in the nation. The project showcases forestry products on a beautifully wooded site and provides state-of-the-art space for a diverse program of science teaching, research and public service initiatives. Cooper Carry provided programming, laboratory design, architectural and interior design services for this project. A tiered 100 seat auditorium, 8 technology enhanced classrooms, computer labs, a student advisement suite, student lounge and project rooms comprise the educational wing of the design. A conferencing center with sub-dividable high bay meeting spaces can accommodate several meeting scenarios, from large groups of over 250 participants to several smaller concurrent meetings. Adjacent to the conference center is an outdoor classroom pavilion. Modular laboratories are located in a Research Wing. A large prep room, with drying ovens and grinding boxes allows for the handling and preparation of large biological samples.
