The Duke Clinical Research Institute is the world’s largest academic clinical research organization. They combine the clinical expertise and academic leadership of a premier teaching hospital with the full-service operational capabilities of a major contract research organization. The Duke Clinical Research Institute provides a wide range of research collaborations with business and industry. The Research Institute promotes research relationships with pharmaceutical and other life sciences companies. The Clinical Research Institute performs clinical research across the spectrum, ranging from: Phase I through Phase IV clinical trials; outcomes research; with registries of more than 100,000 patients. The research institute provides: data management, statistical analysis, technology assessment, outcomes assessment, site monitoring, financial management, pharmacy services, telephone randomization and study coordination. Clinical Research Training Program Classroom, Distance Learning Classroom is a facility that is used to teach a masters level program with both Duke University Medical Center and the National Institutes of Health students.
