Georgia State University, Freshman Housing

Atlanta, GA

Georgia State University’s freshman housing in Downtown Atlanta consists of 334 beds in six stories. The 79,000 square foot building also houses a cafeteria on the first level. Two different room configurations define the project—students live in either split single rooms, where two single rooms share a bathroom, or a three-bedroom suite, where a double and single room share a bathroom. The building defined street edges and connections to student pathways while creating a sense of place and identity for incoming freshman.
