Jorge de la Cova AIA, LEED AP
Associate, BIM Coordinator
Jorge de la Cova is an architect, designer, and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) specialist. He joined Cooper Carry’s Technical Services division in 2019 and was promoted to Associate in 2021. Jorge brings over 25 years of experience in project delivery to his management of VDC technologies in a wide range of project types, including commercial, hospitality, science + technology, and education.
As a BIM Coordinator, Jorge focuses on expanding the abilities and technical knowledge of the Cooper Carry staff to deliver innovative projects that meet specific requirements, including data extraction, manipulation, and reuse, while introducing technology to the project workflow to expand the possibilities and potential in design. He is a technology evangelist who endeavors to bring the new technologies of a rapidly changing world into the design studio.
Jorge earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a licensed architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a LEED AP®. Since 2010, he has maintained an active relationship with the Atlanta chapter of Habitat for Humanity as a Volunteer Skilled Supervisor. He has provided manual labor and specialized task training of inexperienced volunteers for over 200 homes in the Habitat for Humanity system and has served as an advocate for affordable housing in the Atlanta community.
