Saeed Dornajafi AIA, NCARB, LEED Green Associate, Fitwel Amb.

Associate

Saeed joined Cooper Carry in 2018 after completing his Master of Architecture at Virginia Tech and was promoted to Associate in 2021. Saeed is a member of the K-12 Education studio and has worked on several projects from the early stages of design and programming to documentation and construction. In addition to K-12 projects, Saeed’s keen eye for design, and his interest in specializing in several design sectors, have created opportunities for him to work on various building types, including higher education, retail, and multi-family. Saeed enjoys working directly with communities and engaging end-users in the design process. With this approach, he is able to better understand project objectives and deliver projects that suit the stakeholders’ needs.

Saeed has lived in 3 countries, including his home country of Iran, his adopted country of the United States, and Switzerland. In Switzerland, he spent a semester studying Ticino architecture while traveling across Europe. Saeed’s admiration for diverse cultural backgrounds and design approaches stems from spending time with and learning from people of many different backgrounds. He is also proud to serve on Cooper Carry’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council (EDIC).

Saeed is a registered architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Board (NCARB), and a LEED® Green Associate™.
