Director, Landscape Architecture
Kerry Blind, FASLA, LEED AP is the Director of Landscape Architecture for Cooper Carry. From the earliest days of his career his professional experience has consistently been geared toward environmentally sensitive and sustainable community planning and design. His commitment to sustainable solutions in planning and design lead to the integration of stormwater management into the landscape to create high performance sites. He is a recognized speaker on green infrastructure and low impact development practices. His many LEED certified projects include Platinum certifications such as the Southface Energy Institute’s Eco-office and numerous Gold certifications for higher education facilities. He founded Ecos Environmental Design, Inc. in the early 90s and the firm went on to win more than 25 industry awards for planning and design excellence. In 1999, Kerry Blind was elected a Fellow in the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). He has chaired the ULI Atlanta Sustainability Committee, is the past chair of The Georgia Conservancy’s “Blueprints for Livable Communities” committee, and serves on the Southface Sustainable Atlanta Round Table Steering Committee. A graduate of Purdue University, Kerry is a licensed landscape architect.
