Kate Edwards AIA, NCARB

Associate

Kate Edwards joined Cooper Carry in January 2025 to lead the K-12 Education Studio’s expansion in North and South Carolina from the Charlotte Office. She was recently promoted to associate after just over a year with the firm.

She has quickly become an integral part of the K-12 Education Studio leadership. She consistently contributes to Business Development and project success strategies when she is not working as the Project Architect on public and private projects across the Southeast. She has specialized in Educational Architecture for over a decade, giving her a broad depth of experience to draw from. Kate is incredibly passionate about equitable design for differently abled students and inclusionary sensory-space design so that all children can thrive in their learning environments. Her excitement and deep commitment to creating safe and engaging spaces are unmistakable assets.

Kate left the Low Country, where she was raised, to earn her degree from Boston Architectural College in 2009. After graduation, she returned to the South, where she is a registered architect in North and South Carolina, an NCARB-certified architect, and a member of the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE). Kate is an alumnus of Leadership Charlotte Class 44 and a proud member of Cooper Carry’s EDIC Council.
