Katie Igrec Fitwel Amb.

As Marketing Coordinator at Cooper Carry, Katie brings a versatile career spanning over 20 years to the position. This has included working with entrepreneurship support organizations, social enterprises, government, and higher education institutions. This cross-pollination has been an asset to the firm’s marketing team, with strong skills in preparing proposals big and small, understanding the needs and perspectives of clients, and a knack for breaking down technical topics into digestible formats. Katie is passionate about sustainability and equity in the built environment and serves on Cooper Carry’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Council (EDIC). She was promoted to Associate in 2022.

Outside of work, Katie has helped social impact professionals to connect and grow through her leadership role with several Net Impact chapters, including the Atlanta Professional Chapter. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Hiram College and her Master of Arts in Social Sciences, which focused on population and sustainable development, from the University of Chicago.
