Sam Kim AIA, NCARB
Senior Associate
Sam Kim is a Senior Associate and Project Architect in Cooper Carry’s Higher Education Studio. Promoted to Senior Associate in 2026, he brings more than a decade of design experience, including three years with the firm. Passionate about collaboration and team building, Sam has led projects through all phases of design across a diverse portfolio that includes high-end multifamily developments, student housing, civic spaces, and specialized science and technology facilities. He is driven to solve complex challenges with thoughtful, innovative solutions that balance a strong design vision with functional performance.
Sam earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, magna cum laude, from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also participated in a summer study abroad program in Greece and Italy. Sam is a registered architect in Georgia, an NCARB-certified architect, and a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
