Centreville Bank Stadium Experiential Graphics

Pawtucket, RI

Cooper Carry partnered with LaBella Associates and JCJ Architecture to design the experiential graphics, signage, and wayfinding system for Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This 10,500-seat United Soccer League (USL) stadium, home to Rhode Island FC and the anchor of the Tidewater Landing development, opened in 2025 as the first all-electric stadium in the United States.

Design Approach: Industrial Heritage Reimagined

The experiential graphic design system is deeply rooted in Pawtucket’s local history and culture, drawing inspiration from the city’s mill architecture, exposed-steel structures, and working waterfront. Bold typography, utilitarian finishes, and clean, legible forms echo the region’s industrial character while reinforcing intuitive navigation throughout the stadium. References to the Seekonk River help ground the fan experience in its riverfront context, giving the venue an authentic sense of place.

Wayfinding, Signage, and Experiential Graphics

Cooper Carry developed an integrated graphics system that guides fans seamlessly from exterior plazas into the stadium and through concourses, seating levels, and amenities. The signage enhances legibility at every scale, from high-visibility sectional markers to focused directional cues, creating a unified hierarchy of information that supports efficient, intuitive circulation. Food and beverage branding is woven into the overall visual language, while experiential graphics for interior operations areas reinforce clarity, organization, and a consistent brand presence.

Community and Economic Impact

As part of the $400 million Tidewater Landing development, the stadium is projected to generate significant job growth, increase activity for local businesses, and attract year-round programming—from soccer matches to concerts and civic events. Its riverfront location reconnects Pawtucket to the Seekonk River, creating a vibrant public destination that fosters community identity and pride.
