Pointe Orlando

Orlando, FL

A well-located entertainment property immediately adjacent to the Orlando Convention Center in Florida, Pointe Orlando is undergoing a renovation. The goals for this project are to drive traffic to areas of the center that currently lack visibility and easy access, increase the synergy of the existing retail by adding a hotel component, give the retail tenancies more of a retail presence, and offer a hospitality-like experience to guests.

The property has great visibility fronted by International Drive to the west and Universal Drive to the east.  A passageway or "Link" will be carved through a portion of the existing center, featuring lit ceilings, artistic floor patterns and retail tenant storefront on the sides to draw people through the center.  Additionally, a Phase II gathering space will be created at the knuckle of this concourse near the parking deck to draw even more activity to the area.

The prominent corners of the property will be re-imagined with a new artistic expression of Pointe Orlando branding.  The logo is a three-dimensional piece of artwork sitting above an elegant wall with Pointe Orlando graphics.  And those who arrive at the valets will find reconfigured valet drops with increased capacity.  But the “handshake” comes in the arrival at an elegant valet canopy with uplit columns, glass roof and Pointe Orlando signage above.

The revised design will amplify retailer presence by raising storefronts where possible, extending tenant materials and signage to give the center a more retail-prominent expression.  A new escalator will drive traffic up to the restaurant grouping to make them even easier to get to, and new glass rails and lighting will link the upper and lower level experiences.  The center will also have hospitality-like seating groups with playful shade structures, new paint schemes, comfortable chairs, and new upscale lighting.
