Cooper Carry designed the interior fit-out of Sompo’s Atlanta office, a 42,302-square-foot workplace for the global insurance provider. The forward-thinking design reflects Sompo’s evolving brand identity while creating a modern, welcoming environment that promotes flexibility, collaboration, and well-being. Our design approach reimagined Sompo’s office as a workplace prototype for the future. A warm, natural palette layered with greenery establishes a calming, biophilic atmosphere. Sompo’s brand colors were reinterpreted as sophisticated, toned-down hues integrated into finishes and materials—reinforcing identity without overwhelming the design.
The café and lounge form the social and functional heart of the office, complemented by adjacent quiet and game rooms where employees can relax and recharge. Two satellite coffee bars and refreshed balconies encourage casual interaction and connection, while blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors.
Sustainability was woven throughout the project, from a dramatic living wall to low-emission flooring and eco-conscious wallcoverings. Every detail contributes to a vibrant, wellness-forward space that balances aesthetic quality with environmental responsibility.
Delivered on a fast-tracked schedule, the Atlanta office has become a benchmark for Sompo’s future workplaces, embodying a new standard for brand-driven, employee-centered design.
