The Tommy Stalnaker Aquatic Center in Warner Robins, Georgia is a joint effort between the Houston County Board of Education, the Houston County Commissioners, and the cities of Warner Robins, Centerville, and Perry. The new facility will create a space for the community to come together for both recreation and competitive swimming events.
The 39,000-square-foot aquatic center will feature a 50-meter competition pool with state-of-the-art pool and timing technology to host competitive swimming events for the five different high school swim teams in Houston County. The space includes bleacher seating and separate restrooms for spectators. The 25-yard, warm water program pool features expansive entry steps and a zero-entry ramp. It will be used for beginner swim classes, aqua-aerobics, and as a warm-up space for competitive swimmers. The building includes lobby and classroom space, locker rooms, offices, and a large outdoor covered area. Cooper Carry is providing architecture, interior design, and construction administration services. Along with signage and wayfinding elements, our Experiential Graphic Design team is creating unique wallcoverings that speak to the excitement of swimming.
The aquatic center is set to open in 2023.
