CenterCal Properties took on the challenge of reimagining Bridgeport Village, one of the largest shopping destinations in the Portland area. They enlisted Cooper Carry to provide visioning, planning, and architectural services to modernize the nearly 20-year-old shopping center. The project created a new front door to the site, expanded the Village Green, including a new playground area and a community stage, renovated existing storefronts, and added new storefronts.
While renovations and upgrades played a vital role in the project, placemaking was the heart of bringing it to life. We created a “living room” where community members and visitors can come together to shop, dine, and enjoy special events.
Outdoor spaces reinforce a friendly community vibe, offering a fun, relaxed atmosphere with a distinctly Pacific Northwest character. Every design element was crafted to create inviting, comfortable spaces for everyone, ensuring that people of all ages feel at home in this lively gathering place.
