Indian Creek MARTA

Atlanta, GA

The Indian Creek transit station acts as the end of the line for the eastern leg of Atlanta’s rail system. As such, the station is the primary intermodal hub of six bus lines serving the eastern suburban communities. Located adjacent to a single family community, the station is nestled into a hillside along a creek bed to minimize the structure’s visual impact. Using natural materials of stone and heavy timber, the open air station is reminiscent of a park pavilion while serving the high volume pedestrian and circular and bus traffic. Parking is provided for 3,200 cars.
