GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS
The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry transformed the unused top-floor space of The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman into five ultra-luxury hotel suites. Once a 14,000 SF open shell, the suites are now one-of-a-kind, artful interiors. While the large square footage allowed flexibility, creating intimate yet open spaces was a challenge.
The upscale, contemporary suites offer guests the utmost luxury while maintaining a welcoming feel. The design combines streamlined forms with a lush palette of woods, stones, and textiles to create warm, inviting spaces. Unique materials in the colors of sand, water, and coral reefs mimic the island's natural beauty and connect the interiors to the relaxing oceanfront surroundings. The combination of sleek forms, unique materials, and thoughtful details in each of the five suites provides guests with the ultimate luxury experience. Overall, the suites are a fantasy of eye-catching design features and luxe materials layered over the beauty of the Caribbean.
