Cooper Carry served as architect for the collection of eight single-story villas, comprising 20 luxury suites designed to meet growing demand for residential-style hospitality experiences.

The new accommodations expand the resort's offerings for families, multigenerational travelers, extended stays, and guests seeking the comfort and flexibility of a private residence within a full-service luxury resort environment.

Designed for Privacy and Connection

Arranged as a village-like collection of intimate buildings, each villa contains two to four suites thoughtfully designed to foster connection while maintaining privacy. The residences feature full kitchens, dining areas, spacious living rooms, and private terraces that blur the line between indoor and outdoor living.

Positioned to maximize views of the surrounding desert landscape, golf course, and Arizona sunsets, the villas embrace the natural beauty of the Sonoran Desert while complementing the architectural character that has defined The Phoenician for decades.

A Contemporary Interpretation of Southwestern Hospitality

Working alongside interior designer Parker-Torres, Cooper Carry designed the villas to feel timeless and rooted in place. Stone and stucco exteriors reflect the resort's established Southwestern aesthetic, while warm, earth-toned interiors create a refined residential atmosphere.

The architecture responds directly to Scottsdale's climate through tall interior ceilings that promote airflow, deep overhangs that provide shade, and carefully selected exterior materials chosen for durability and heat resistance. Native landscaping further reinforces the connection to the desert environment while minimizing maintenance requirements.
