The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront is a 305-key hotel and conference center, located on Atlantic Avenue and 42nd St. The property is part of a growing collection of hotels and amenities that bookend the northern portion of the resort district. The hotel provides 17,000 square feet of meeting space and a 10,000-square foot ballroom on the second level, along with an upscale pool and fitness center.

Flexibility was a main component of this hotel design. Operable glass walls were used to extend the living experience outdoors, including in the on-site restaurants and the ballroom, allowing guests to take in impressive, open-air views of the eastern seaboard.

Each guest room was also reconfigured with sofas turned to face the views of the ocean, and king suites include Juliet balconies for a further connection to nature. Navy, gray, and gold round out the color scheme in the rooms. In the public spaces, biophilia and raw materials create a contemporary style that sets the hotel apart from others in the brand. Custom wayfinding seamlessly guides guests throughout the property and complements the interior finishes.

Cooper Carry also designed the residential component of the project, known as 42 Ocean. These 42 luxury condominiums are unique to the market, offering residents resort-level concierge services and access to hotel amenities, as well as exclusive spaces like the members-only Beachside Lounge and preferred seating at restaurants within the master planned community.
