The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa Renovation

Scottsdale, AZ

Host Hotels & Resorts retained Cooper Carry’s design services to renovate multiple facilities at the existing 732-key Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. The renovations encompassed 40 guestroom suites, 32 stand-alone casitas, and 10 hospitality suites that were created for business meetings but can be converted into bedrooms via Murphy beds. The concierge lounge was also converted into three guestrooms, bringing the total keys to 735 for the resort. The project scope also included renovating the guestroom corridors and replacing entry counters, bathroom vanities, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, furniture, and interior finishes.

The client sought to amplify the Westin brand, while embracing the hues of the surrounding Sonoran Desert. Almost all guestrooms include a private balcony for visitors to enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather and the mountain views over the resort’s golf course.
