The Inn at Darden is located adjacent to the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. The existing inn will be partially demolished and will be replaced with a five-story inn with 199 rooms and 25,000 square feet of conference space. The updated inn's design takes its cue from the campus' unique history while offering state-of-the-art facilities.
The Inn at Darden is envisioned as the natural evolution and expansion of the Darden Business School, and existing Darden Inn. The design is influenced by Jeffersonian architecture, incorporating the classical orders, details, columns, window proportions and materials that typify the style of the Darden School of Business and other campus buildings.
An arboretum will be added to the site as an amenity for students and guests to enjoy. In addition, improved connectivity to the pedestrian walkways on the campus and to nearby trails will provide ample opportunities to appreciate the area's rollings hills that spill into the Blue Ridge Mountains.
